All Progressives Congress (APC) State Women Leaders from 36 states, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), have given Dr. Betta Edu their vote of confidence.
When Edu paid President Bola Ahmed Tinubu a visit on Thursday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, the vote of confidence was approved.
The party’s National Woman Leader received a “Vote of Confidence” from the 37 State Women Leaders, who praised her leadership as being remarkable, inclusive, and responsive as she successfully steered the nation towards women’s emancipation.
They continued by saying that the entire nation can vouch for the part she played in the most recent elections.
In the statement to journalists, 36 State women Leaders were present who were represented.
The announcement also revealed that other women’s groups, such as the APC Zonal and Female NEC members, would take turns visiting the President because everyone couldn’t do so at once.
“We understand their desire and anxiety to meet with Mr. President and we assure them that the President will also be very happy to meet with them all. He runs an open-door policy.”
“However, the engagements will happen in batches, and more women will be involved. Let’s be patient and be rest assured that the request presented by the National Woman Leader and the women from the 36 states of the federation as well as FCT covered the interests of all Nigerian women and APC women in particular, who worked so hard for his victory in the last elections. Everyone will be rewarded in due course,” the statement signed by the media aide to the National Woman Leader stated.
