Samridhi Katyal, the Co-founder of Fandrum, has been selected for The Google for Startups Accelerator program: Women Founders. This program is aimed at supporting women entrepreneurs in India who are using technology to address complex issues and have a positive societal impact. It’s a three-month program that offers mentorship, workshops, and access to resources and networks for startups across various sectors, including healthcare, education, finance, and e-commerce. The program also includes modules designed to assist women entrepreneurs in areas like seeking mentorship, hiring talent, and building networks.
Out of over 300 applications, only 20 women founders were chosen for this program. Google’s initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance the representation of women in different segments of India’s digitally-trained workforce, including entrepreneurship and professional upskilling, with the goal of making technology more universally relevant and useful.
