Aine Groogan Deputy Lord Mayor Motivates Businesswomen to Participate in TechFoundHer AI Roadshow in Belfast

According to Councillor Áine Groogan, the Deputy Lord Mayor, Belfast needs to encourage inclusive growth and future commercial prospects. She was giving a speech at the TechFoundHer AI Roadshow launch event, which will be later this month at The MAC in Cathedral Quarter.

The Co Down businesswoman Mairin Murray founded the women in tech organization, and they have revealed that they will also be launching their Northern Ireland community at the event.
The roadshow comes after the great reception that the one-day innovation summit for female creators, TechFoundHer Bootcamp, received recently in Dublin.

Deputy Lord Mayor Councillor Áine Groogan said: “As event co-sponsor, we’re really looking forward to welcoming TechFoundHer 2024 to Belfast, following the successful TechFoundHer Bootcamp in Dublin last month.

“We’ve made a commitment in The Belfast Agenda to support inclusive growth and opportunities in businesses of the future, so it’s wonderful to see this event encouraging female entrepreneurship and greater participation in Belfast’s burgeoning tech sector.

TechFoundHer will share global perspectives from female founders, with input from investors and entrepreneurs from the US, UK, and Ireland, in addition to offering great learning and networking opportunities for women who wish to learn more about emerging technology trends and the funding environment. “I urge women to sign up for this event and visit The MAC at any point in their tech career or business.”

The first showing of the dramatic and inspirational film Show Her The Money, an award-winning Los Angeles production that sheds light on the struggles and victories faced by female entrepreneurs seeking capital, will take place on Wednesday, May 22 as part of the AI Roadshow.

Produced by Catherine Gray and directed by Ky Dickens, the film transports viewers on an emotional journey through the lives of strong, imaginative women who have broken through glass ceilings, challenged social standards, and overcame adversity to establish their enterprises. The film’s protagonists, investor Wendy Ryan and actress Catherine Gray, will be traveling from the US to participate in the roadshow and moderate a Q&A session following the screening.

An inspiring roster of speakers from TechFoundHer AI Roadshow will offer a series of motivational sessions with practical insights about the potential of tech and the ongoing AI revolution.
